ANN is not the TM Forum and does not deliver official ANLAV certification. The tool prepares the evidence pack; the TM Forum validates the self-assessment and issues the certificate.

ANN FAQ: autonomous network assessment and ANLAV

ANN helps operators and their partners assess autonomous network maturity on TM Forum scenarios, build a roadmap from the gaps and prepare the evidence for an ANLAV review. The answers below cover what ANN does, what it does not do, and how your data is handled.

The essentials

Can I get ANLAV certification through ANN?

No: the ANLAV certificate is issued by the TM Forum, after it validates the self-assessment with a panel review. ANN is not the TM Forum. Its role is to prepare the evidence pack, with the scoring report, the gap analysis and the evidence organised by sub-scenario and task, so that your team is ready to submit its assessment. See ANLAV readiness for what the TM Forum expects.

What is the difference between ANLET and ANLAV?

ANLET is the evaluation; ANLAV is the validation. ANLET is the set of TM Forum scenario-based questionnaires used to state the autonomous network level of a scenario. ANLAV is the TM Forum service, launched in June 2025, through which the TM Forum validates the ANLET evaluation data submitted by the operator. ANN supports the evaluation work and the preparation of evidence before validation.

What does the free trial include?

The free trial includes one full assessment, on the scenario of your choice, with no commitment and no sales call. You pick a scenario from those currently available, answer its questionnaire and see the results. You can start the trial here and upgrade at any time if you want to keep going with further assessments.

Which TM Forum scenarios can I assess today?

You can assess the scenarios currently available in ANN, listed on the scenarios page. They include RAN Fault Management (GB1523A) and RAN Energy Efficiency Optimization (GB1526A). Other scenarios from the TM Forum catalogue are shown as coming soon and cannot be assessed yet. Each available scenario uses the IAADE steps and the IG1252 scoring approach.

AI, data and access

Does the AI decide my maturity score?

No. The AI pre-fill only proposes a level for a task, with a justification drawn from the documents you provide. Each proposal is labelled "AI suggestion — to validate" and counts for nothing until a person validates it or chooses another level. The score is calculated only from validated answers, following the IG1252 methodology.

Where is our evaluation data hosted?

ANN is hosted and operated by CEVIA, with no imposed cloud provider. Each client organisation is isolated from the others, AI suggestions always require human validation, and neither emails nor questionnaire answers are written to logs. For details on hosting and data processing, use the contact page.

Can our consultants work on several operators at once without mixing data?

Yes. Each client organisation is isolated at the data and interface level, and client-side roles can never cross from one organisation to another. A consultant account only sees the client organisations it has been explicitly granted, and only for those engagements. Every change to evidence and governance fields is logged with its old and new value.

Evidence and results

What counts as technical evidence versus declarative evidence?

Technical evidence is produced by your systems; declarative evidence is a statement about how work is done. A system export or an execution log is technical evidence. A policy, procedure or attestation is declarative evidence. In the ANN evidence coverage rate, declarative evidence alone counts for half. This weighting is a CEVIA method, not a TM Forum rule, and it never changes the maturity score.

What can we export at the end of an assessment?

You can export a PDF report and a ZIP evidence pack. The evidence pack contains the scoring report with the gap analysis, the coverage rate and checklist status, and every piece of evidence filed by sub-scenario and task, with an index. The roadmap can also be exported as a PDF, and some scenarios offer a Data Request Pack in PDF or XLSX.

How long does an assessment take?

It depends mainly on how much evidence your teams already have at hand. A scenario is answered task by task, sub-scenario by sub-scenario, and several people can work in parallel. The AI pre-fill speeds up the first pass from your existing documents, but every level still needs a person to validate it, and evidence takes the longest to gather.

About ANN

Is ANN affiliated with TM Forum?

ANN is an independent product, built and operated by CEVIA, an operating unit of Kimani Group SRL; it is not a TM Forum product and does not speak for TM Forum. It follows the frameworks TM Forum publishes, such as IG1252, ANLET and ANLAV, and states clearly when a method is CEVIA's own rather than a TM Forum rule.

Which languages does ANN support?

ANN is available in English, French and Dutch, and you can switch the interface language at any time. Some translated content is still under human review; where versions differ, the French version prevails. The Data Request Pack, which lists the data needed for some scenarios, is currently provided in French only.
